On 27th October 2002 the Fair Trader Scheme Members where all sent a questionnaire, below are the results

Chocolate - One respondent made this comment "early overseas deal with a nice Swiss person who bid on my UK only auction before I learnt about the joys of Paypal etc."
Foreign relative - another respondent has an American relative to whom US Dollar payments are sent, the relative banks the payment, confirms when it has cleared so it can be shipped and periodically transfers the funds back to the UK when enough has accumulated to make it viable.

Those who do use reserve prices covered the full %age range from very occasional (1%) to all Auctions (100%)
